This course supports public health practitioners and researchers in deepening their knowledge about Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC) terms, the health disparities faced by populations with different SOGIESC characteristics and identities, and things to consider when measuring SOGIESC. Part 1, SOGIESC Health Disparities, provides an overview of terminology and examples of disparities affecting SOGIESC minority groups. Part 2, SOGIESC Measurement, discusses various ways to collect SOGIESC data, as well as the considerations researchers and practitioners should take into account when designing measurement efforts.
