Introducing Academic Public Health Perspectives: A New Platform for Thought Leadership

ASPPH is pleased to announce the launch of Academic Public Health Perspectives, a new ASPPH section of our website dedicated to expert viewpoints and reflective commentary from our member community and beyond. This collection features opinion pieces and essays that explore both timely and enduring issues shaping public health and academic public health. We welcome public health experts to submit articles as well.

Academic Public Health Perspectives welcomes original submissions that address current or emerging public health issues and highlight the role of academic public health in research, education, practice, policy, leadership, and workforce development. Submissions should be written for a broad public health audience, using clear and accessible language, and may take the form of commentary, policy or practice reflections, research-informed perspectives, case studies, or lessons learned. To maintain editorial integrity, submissions should not be promotional, partisan, or highly technical.

Articles are typically 800 to 1,500 words in length, and authors are asked to submit their article text along with a high-resolution main image, a professional headshot, and a short author bio. Submissions are reviewed by ASPPH staff for relevance, clarity, timeliness, and alignment with ASPPH’s mission and values. Materials should be submitted via email to: externalrelations@aspph.org.

We encourage members to contribute their perspectives and help shape this new forum for shared learning and leadership in academic public health. View the submission guidelines here.
