Framing the Future 2030’s Fostering Community Partnerships for a Healthier World Report

Following our earlier announcement of the launch of our Framing the Future 2030: Education for Public Health (FTF 2030) initiative, which represents a pivotal shift in learning and teaching public health and includes three expert panel reports, we are sharing the third and final report, Fostering Community Partnerships for a Healthier World.

Academic public health must adapt and emphasize collaboration with diverse community partners and organizations, shifting its approach to meet partner needs and harness its role as a leader and innovator. This shift involves a commitment to ongoing development in curriculum, faculty, and infrastructure, aiming to better equip learners for effective engagement.

The Fostering Community Partnerships for a Healthier World report highlights the importance of redefining the role of academic public health to address social determinants of health, improve evidence-based practices, and contribute to a healthier, more equitable world. The report recommends positioning public health in partnership with communities, supporting sustainable partnerships, and developing curricula focused on partnership skills.
