Truth-Telling in the Age of Health Misinformation and Disinformation
August 11 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm

In today’s fragmented information landscape, health misinformation and disinformation are not only widespread but also dangerous. They erode public trust, threaten lives, and impede progress on public health initiatives.
Our ASPPH Presents webinar focused on strategies to counteract false narratives and promote truth-telling in public health. This interactive session built on the Partners for Advancing Health Equity two-part podcast, Addressing Health Misinformation and Disinformation to Advance Truth-Telling. (Episode 1; Episode 2) We had curated audio segments from the podcast series, followed by live panel discussions exploring practical ways to build media literacy, empower trusted messengers, and rebuild confidence in health systems.
