From Classroom to Career: Public Health Fellowships, Practicums, Internships, and Apprenticeships

This ASPPH Presents webinar, taking place February 24, 2026 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM ET, will introduce students and early career professionals to applied learning and training opportunities that bridge academic preparation and the public health workforce. Participants will gain an overview of the ASPPH Center for Public Health Workforce Development and learn how experiential programs, including fellowships, practicums, internships, and apprenticeships, support career readiness and long-term professional growth in public health. 

The session will highlight three applied learning and training programs currently offered by ASPPH, along with a preview of one program in early development. Speakers will discuss program goals, eligibility, and structure, as well as how these opportunities help emerging professionals gain practical skills, expand networks, and enter meaningful public health careers.  

Attendees will also receive guidance on how to apply for ASPPH and partner-sponsored opportunities and identify pathways that align with their interests and career goals.
