In this presentation we will discuss new approaches to diagnosis and evaluation of hospitalized patients with severe pneumonia and the potential impact these approaches can have on clinical outcomes.

Dr. Pickens is an assistant professor in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Northwestern University. She completed her medical training and fellowship in 2021 and her research interest is in improving outcomes in pneumonia through novel interventions that aid in diagnosis and clinical decision making.
