2025 Sections Retreat

The 2025 ASPPH Sections Retreat will be held in-person June 25-27 at the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley in Park City, UT. 

The Sections Retreat is for designated representatives from ASPPH-member schools and programs of public health for Academic Affairs, Data, Finance & Administration, Institutional Excellence, Marketing & Communications, Practice, Research, and Student Affairs. The primary purpose of the Sections Retreat is to provide these groups with an opportunity to share promising practices; increase knowledge; discuss current issues and challenges at schools and programs of public health; and network in an open environment with their peers.  


Participation at the event is limited to one representative per member per track.

Registration Fees & Cancellation Policies


Members: Participation is limited to one attendee per Section, per ASPPH-member institution. Section registrants must select a main track during registration (Academic Affairs, Data, Finance & Administration, Institutional Excellence, Marketing and Communications, Practice, Research, and Student Affairs), but may also attend sessions hosted by other tracks at the retreat.  Member registration is $675. 

Guests: Guests are welcome at all meals and events at the retreat which include reception Wednesday evening, breakfast and lunch on Thursday, and breakfast on Friday.  Guest registration is $475. Guests 12 and under are complimentary. 

Meeting Cancellations/Refunds: Attendees may cancel their registration up until Friday, June 6, and receive a refund. Cancellations after June 6 will not be eligible for a refund. 

Housing


The 2025 Sections Retreat is at the the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley in Park City, UT. The group discounted rate is $289 per night plus tax.  

The reservation cut-off date is Friday, May 30. We cannot guarantee availability at the group rate beyond this date.  

Hotel Cancellations: All hotel cancellation requests must be received by the property at least 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid a fee equal to one night’s room and tax. For questions or modifications to reservations, please contact the hotel directly at (435) 574-1234. 

Getting There


The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley is located 35 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). The hotel does not provide shuttles to and from the airport, but taxis and rideshare transportation are readily available.  

On-site parking is available at the hotel: Valet: $50 

The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle daily that takes hotel guests to Park City’s Main Street, starting at 11:00 AM. The last shuttle will return to the hotel at 8:00 PM.
