We are excited to announce that for our Annual Meeting on March 15-17 in Arlington, VA, Dr. Stephen Brookfield will be our opening plenary speaker. Dr. Brookfield’s presentation is titled “Transforming Education for 21st-Century Learning.”
Dr. Brookfield’s research is focused on methodologies of critical thinking, discussion and dialog, critical reflection, leadership, and the exploration of power dynamics, particularly around racial identity, and white supremacy. He has written, co-written, and edited twenty books on the topics of adult learning, teaching, critical thinking and theory, discussion methods, leadership, and teaching race – six of which have won the Cyril O. Houle World Award for Literature in Adult Education.
Stay tuned in the coming weeks as we continue to announce our remaining plenary speakers for 2023 Annual Meeting.
