The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office of Readiness and Response has released a pre-solicitation notice about an upcoming call for proposals. They are aiming to procure services to establish ten regional coordinating bodies (referred to as the “network of centers”) of health departments and officials, health care facilities, health care coalitions, and academic, public, and private partners.
The regional network of centers will work together to enhance public health preparedness and response through the translation, dissemination, and evaluation of promising research findings or evidence-based practices. This solicitation is limited to institutions of higher education, and specifically mentions accredited schools of public health, “with at least 10 years of experience working with the public health emergency preparedness and response evidence base and coordinating at the regional level.”
The Government anticipates the solicitation will be available approximately 30 to 45 days from the date of the notice (May 8th, 2023), with an anticipated closing date/proposal due date of at least 30 days from the date of release of the solicitation. All questions related to the pre-solicitation should be submitted by email to Eric Lyons, kpy2@cdc.gov.
