ASPPH Supports the Protecting America’s Children by Strengthening Families Act

Last month, ASPPH joined 269 organizations in urging the Senate to swiftly pass the bipartisan Protecting America’s Children by Strengthening Families Act. This essential legislation enhances Title IV-B of the Social Security Act, prioritizing family preservation, child welfare, and tribal support.

The bill’s key focuses include trauma-informed child welfare systems to support mental health, new workforce investments for family assistance, and dedicated funding for tribal and court programs.

ASPPH continues to champion this bill’s passage to ensure its critical support for families nationwide. Additionally, ASPPH is proud to be a CDC National Partners Cooperative Agreement awardee, delivering capacity-building assistance to health departments, with Tribal Health Departments as a focus. Through these initiatives, we’re committed to strengthening public health systems and supporting the well-being of communities across the nation.
