Earlier this month, ASPPH signed on to a letter by the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) and the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) urging the Administration to include funding for the Public Health Workforce Loan Repayment Program and the Bio-Preparedness Workforce Pilot Program in the President’s Budget Request for Fiscal Year (FY) 25. The letter requests the inclusion of $100 million for the Public Health Workforce Loan Repayment Program and $50 million for the Bio-Preparedness Workforce Pilot Program. We also met with the Biden Administration last month and reinforced the need to fund these critical programs.
