ASPPH-Member Funding Opportunities in Support of CDC’s National Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS) Certification Project

ASPPH Workforce - Funding Opportunities - Requests for Proposal

ASPPH is seeking responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP) to identify ASPPH and ASPPH Undergraduate Network for Academic Public Health members to collaborate in support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National DIS Certification Project. Implemented by the ASPPH Center for Public Health Workforce Development, the National DIS Certification Project contributes to CDC’s workforce capacity efforts to improve public health services provided to communities by disease intervention professionals.

The following DIS Certification Project funding opportunities are available:

  • Developing Core Competencies for Disease Intervention Professionals
  • Partnering with Undergraduate Institution Educators to Build Pathways to Disease Intervention Certification
  • Partnering with Community College Educators to Build Pathways to Disease Intervention Certification
  • Partnering with High School Educators to Build Pathways to Disease Intervention Certification

Interested member institutions can review the RFPs and application requirements. Please email grants@aspph.org with your intent to submit a proposal by 5:00 PM ET on August 23, 2024. Application packages are due to ASPPH by 5:00 PM ET on September 13, 2024. Questions regarding the project can be sent to grants@aspph.org. ASPPH will publish responses to submitted questions on the Funding Opportunities webpage.
