In celebration of National Public Health Week (April 7-13, 2025) ASPPH has launched Public Health, Now More Than Ever — a new initiative to encourage students to pursue degrees in public health and highlight the field’s vital role in creating healthier communities.

The campaign emphasizes the versatility of a public health degree, the broad career opportunities available beyond traditional roles, and the resilience of the public health workforce. Alumni stories featured through the initiative showcase the diverse impact of public health professionals across sectors.

“Public health is not just a profession—it’s a calling, and now more than ever, we need competent, passionate individuals to take up the mantle,” said ASPPH President and CEO Dr. Laura Magaña.

Through Public Health, Now More Than Ever, ASPPH is providing a suite of resources to support institutions and students alike. The campaign includes customizable messaging materials for schools and programs to amplify outreach efforts and attract the next generation of public health leaders. In addition, ASPPH offers a range of student services resources, including an academic program finder and guidance on financing a public health degree.

By equipping students and institutions with these resources, ASPPH reaffirms its commitment to strengthening and expanding the public health workforce to meet future challenges.
