ASPPH joined other members of the Federation of Associations of Schools of the Health Professions (FASHP) in a letter last week to House Education and the Workforce Committee leaders expressing unease with Section 7(a) of the Bipartisan Workforce Pell Act (H.R. 6585.) The limitations it will place on health professions students at certain institutions from accessing federal student loans are deeply concerning. We also encourage ASPPH members who will be impacted by this provision to work with their government relations offices to follow up with their congressional delegation as soon as possible and urge them to amend Section 7(a) of H.R. 6585.
