Apply to Join the ASPPH Climate and Health Community of Practice by February 28

Applications are now open for the ASPPH Climate and Health Community of Practice (CoP), with a deadline of February 28. This virtual Community of Practice will support public health faculty and academic leaders who are working to strengthen and institutionalize climate and health education within schools and programs of public health. Through structured peer exchange, tailored guidance, and shared resources, the CoP will help participants integrate climate and health content into courses, curricula, and academic programs.

The CoP is part of Phase 2 of the Climate-Ready Classrooms initiative, launched by the Global Network for Academic Public Health (GNAPH) and the Global Consortium on Climate and Health Education (GCCHE). In Fall 2025, GNAPH and GCCHE hosted Climate-Ready Classrooms, an 11-session virtual course for public health faculty that reached more than 1,000 participants worldwide.

As a GNAPH regional association member, ASPPH is now convening a Community of Practice for eligible faculty within ASPPH-member schools and programs.

About the Community of Practice

The ASPPH Climate and Health CoP is designed to support faculty and academic leaders who are actively engaged in teaching, curriculum development, and program coordination in public health. Participants will receive tailored guidance, practical resources, and opportunities for peer exchange to help incorporate climate and health content into courses and curricula.

The CoP will meet online for one hour every other week from approximately April through August 2026.
