Applications Open for the Teach Global Health 2025 Summer Institute

Teach Global Health

If you’re interested in updating your global health or public health course or streamlining your curriculum, apply to Teach Global Health’s  2025 summer institute. This three-day workshop will be held in Meadville, PA, June 18-20, 2025, and provides small group guidance to update your syllabi and activities. Join colleagues from around the globe for a productive and engaging workshop.

Guest speakers from the following organizations this year include:

  • The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation’s Global Burden of Disease (GBD) project is the largest and most comprehensive effort to quantify health status across places and over time so the health systems can be improved and health disparities eliminated. Learn how to integrate the GBD into your courses.
  • The Pulitzer Center champions the power of in-depth stories to make complex issues relevant and to inspire action. Join Pulitzer fellows reporting on communities affected by climate change, the health impacts of migrants fleeing civil strife and climate disasters, and breaking global health stories. Explore strategies to incorporate these narrative videos into your courses and help your students recognize the important role of stories in changing minds and behaviors.
  • The Planetary Health Alliance will showcase strategies for incorporating complexity in systems thinking around the interconnected crises of climate change, biodiversity loss, land use changes, and persistent pollutants.

Gain a network of supportive colleagues as you modernize your courses and curricula and design activities to improve your students’ ability to address complex public health issues

Scholarships are available, and the registration fee includes registration, meals, and housing during the workshop. Learn more and register
