The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) advocates for robust federal investments in academic public health. Our Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 appropriations letter reflects our commitment to strengthening the public health workforce, enhancing research capacity, and investing in public health infrastructure. The chart below outlines our appropriations priorities for Fiscal Year 2027, reflecting our commitment to securing critical funding for key agencies, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
These investments are vital to maintaining the strength of our public health infrastructure, advancing scientific research, and training the next generation of public health professionals. We will elevate these funding priorities and concerns directly to lawmakers during our March 2026 Hill Day and continue to voice our opposition to harmful budget proposals that undermine public health progress.
ASPPH remains resolute in championing these funding priorities. We will continue to engage with policymakers, work in partnership with coalitions, and advocate to ensure sustained support for academic public health.
