Nominations for ASPPH Advisory Committees are now open. These committees play a vital role in guiding the ASPPH Board of Directors by advising on organizational policies and providing leadership on critical issues related to ASPPH activities. We are accepting nominations for all nine committees. Each committee is composed of up to 20 members, including primary representatives, faculty, and staff, and works closely with a Board liaison to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.

The nine committees are: Accreditation and Credentialing, Advocacy, Data, Diversity and Inclusion, Education, Global Engagement and Partnerships, Practice, Research, and Technology.

Additional Information

  • Members are appointed to a two-year term, with the opportunity for reappointment for up to three consecutive terms (a maximum of six years).
  • Advisory Committees meet in person once a year during the ASPPH Annual Meeting for Academic Public Health, with at least two additional virtual meetings per year. The time commitment may vary depending on the committee’s goals and projects.
  • Self-nominations are welcome from faculty and staff of ASPPH member institutions in good standing.

Nomination Requirements

  • Nominees must hold a permanent or full-time appointment at an ASPPH member school or program of public health.
  • To ensure broad representation, ASPPH seeks nominees who reflect the diversity of our membership and have expertise or active engagement in the committee’s focus area.
  • Nominees must submit a short statement of interest (200 words max) and a current CV.
