Last week, ASPPH welcomed the 2022-23 Academic Public Health Leadership Institute (APHLI) cohort scholars to a three-day intensive retreat at the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) in Greensboro, NC. APHLI is a year-long, cohort-based leadership development program designed to enhance the success of new ASPPH-member deans and program directors who have been in their positions for five years or less.
The retreat focused on self-awareness for personal and professional growth, a greater understanding of ways to interact more effectively as a leader, and making meaningful connections with their peers. Nominations for the 2023-24 APHLI Program will open in August and we hope those members new to their dean or program director roles can join us.
