Erin Williams is the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) Director of Membership. Erin is responsible for the development and implementation of comprehensive membership strategies to retain current members, recruit new members, and ensure ASPPH members are engaged. This includes leading the Academic Public Health Leadership Institute (APHLI) providing new ASPPH-member deans and program directors an opportunity to participate in a year-long, cohort-based leadership development program designed to enhance the success of new public health leaders. Erin also manages the ASPPH Annual Awards program recognizing members who exhibit excellence in public health teaching, research, practice, community service, mentorship, and student services. She is also the business manager for the co-sponsorship agreement with the Office of the US Surgeon General to publish Public Health Reports (PHR). Published since 1878, PHR is the official journal of the Office of the US Surgeon General and the US Public Health Service.
Erin joined ASPPH in 1999 and previously worked closely on the ASPPH Graduate Training Programs and various strategic initiatives. Before ASPPH, Erin was a program manager and instructor for a corporate training provider in business education training.
Erin graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Marketing and Communications.
