Public health is a great career. Choose it. Public health is a great area of study even if you don’t make it your final career. So I have almost 1,500 undergraduate students at the University of California, and so whether they actually go into public health or they incorporate the perspectives around diversity around equity around problem solving, around prevention, around partnering with communities… whether they go into public health doing that or they bring it to dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, medicine, law… We’ve created a curriculum that is lifelong and that helps people make really good decisions about helping other people.
