I think that academic public health plays a really important role because it brings together different perspectives in a single location that allows them to ask and answer questions in ways that if we lived or existed in other spaces we wouldn’t be able to do alone. And so, I think that universities are places that bring folks together in ways that you wouldn’t necessarily see outside of an academic institution, and I think they’re also anchored in communities that help us understand the problems that people around us are facing. So, it gives us a collective that can come together to ask and answer questions that can be beneficial to all of us in the long run.
