To ensure that we have excellent public health practices, we need to make sure we have a really well-trained workforce and we need to make sure that we have excellent science that underlies what we do within our communities… and that’s where academic public health comes into play every day… and so it’s wonderful to have a community of these individuals, over 150 individuals, who think about that every day what is the workforce we need for public health within our communities and how do we advance that science to make sure everybody in our communities can be healthier
