We are proud to announce the opening plenary session for the 2025 ASPPH Annual Meeting for Academic Public Health, The Role of Politics and Policies in Structural Determinants of Health. The session will focus on how policies, socioeconomic factors, and systemic inequities have contributed to health disparities across populations and highlight exemplars of interventions and/or actions that have worked to bridge the gap.
Joining us to share their perspectives on this important topic are:
- Daniel E. Dawes, JD, Founding Dean, School of Global Health and Senior Vice President, Global Health, Meharry Medical College
- Demetre Daskalakis, MD, MPH, Director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Megan Ranney, MD, MPH, FACEP, Dean, Yale School of Public Health and chair of the annual meeting planning committee, will moderate this session.
We hope you can join us in March. As a reminder, registration and housing are now open.
