2024 ASPPH Annual Meeting Winding Down

2024 AM Final Collage

The 2024 ASPPH Annual Meeting for Academic Public Health began yesterday with an opening plenary consisting of a Blue-Ribbon Panel of higher-education scholars who presented key insights in the areas of transformative education, life-long learning, and the role of technology as an integral part of the renovated vision for academic public health.

Friday’s morning plenary will feature an inter-sectoral panel discussion with representatives from academia, government, and industry on the role of their institutions in advancing knowledge and understanding of health disparities and identifying mechanisms to improve minority health and reduce health disparities.

Additionally, Friday afternoon’s plenary will discuss how politics impact public health and will feature Laura Barrón-López, White House Correspondent for PBS NewsHour, and Korey T. Johnson, Owner and Lead Consultant, Equipped Solutions.

While our 2024 Annual Meeting officially ends Saturday afternoon, we are grateful to the over 800 attendees who were able to join us in prioritizing academic public health.
