At our 2023 Annual Meeting, Ms. Laurie Garrett and Dr. John P. Moore will join moderator Dr. Perry Halkitis, dean of the Rutgers School of Public Health, for a discussion titled “Plagues, Politics, Public Health and the Press” on March 17 from 9 AM – 10 AM ET. This will be an extraordinary opportunity to learn more about the current public health disinformation crisis through the lens of two highly regarded experts in investigative journalism.

Ms. Garrett is a best-selling author and journalist focusing on emerging diseases, and Dr. Moore is a professor of microbiology and immunology at Weill Cornell Medicine known for his research and advocacy on HIV/AIDS.
