Transforming Academia For Inclusive Excellence

ASPPH continues to prioritize transforming academia for inclusive excellence as a cornerstone of our mission to advance academic public health. Key milestones include the development of a comprehensive framework for addressing racism in academic public health, the establishment of task forces on harassment and discrimination, and the launch of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Transforming Academia for Equity (TAE) Initiative.

Framing the Future Education for Public Health 2030

Framing the Future (FTF) 2030 is a visionary project aimed at preparing future public health professionals for a world of complex health challenges. Climate change is possibly the greatest global challenge of the 21st century, and it is directly harming human, animal, and ecosystem health. ASPPH and our members are committed to protecting populations’ health by reducing the causes of climate change and adapting to its impacts.

Gun Violence Prevention

Gun violence is a public health crisis that continues to devastate individuals, families, and communities. ASPPH made a renewed commitment to work to end it by establishing a Gun Violence Prevention Task Force and creating a framework to guide academic public health institutions to inform their actions related to gun violence prevention.
