The Botswana Harvard AIDS Institute Partnership (BHP) is a collaborative research and training initiative between Harvard and the Government of Botswana to support Botswana’s HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention programs.
Research underway at the BHP includes topics such as how to prevent new adult HIV infections, how human genetics affect the risk of HIV infection and disease progression, how to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV, and how to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of interventions to treat and prevent AIDS.
