The University at Albany’s Institute for Health and the Environment has been re-designated as a Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre for the next four years. The designation enables the Institute, which is one of only three Collaborating Centres in the country for environmental health, to work with the WHO to find ways to reduce disease resulting from exposures to harmful chemicals and radiation.
