The School of Public Health at Texas A&M University’s name has officially been changed from the “Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Public Health” to the “Texas A&M School of Public Health.”
Colleges within the Health Science Center merged in 2015 under Texas A&M University, and the college name change more clearly aligns the School of Public Health with Texas A&M University.
Texas A&M University was established 140 years ago as the first public university in Texas and is one of the nation’s largest universities with an enrollment of over 64,000 students.
