SELPH Program

Welcome to the Student Emerging Leaders in Public Health (SELPH) Program!

SELPH is a public health student leadership network that provides participants an opportunity to engage with students across the globe. 

To be eligible to participate in the 2023-24 Cohort, students must:

  • Be in good academic standing with an ASPPH member institution.
  • Actively seeking a master’s degree, either part-time or full-time, with a graduation date no earlier than May 2024. 
  • Have the ability to engage with peers via Slack.
  • Be available to attend most, if not all, of the virtual workshops listed below.
  • The SELPH 2023-2024 program registration is officially closed and will reopen in September 2024.
    • The registration fee is $25 per person.

SELPH Program Features:

  • Gain access to an exclusive Slack workspace to connect with graduate public health students across ASPPH member schools/programs.
    • Slack onboarding will begin after registration closes.
      • All SELPH participants will receive a link to join our Slack Workplace after registration closes.
  • Ability to join our exclusive four virtual professional development workshops (details below).
    • Preregistration for the workshops is required.
    • Registration for the workshops will be shared closer to the event dates.

Professional Development Workshop Information:

  • All events will be held virtually through Zoom
  • All events will be held 12:00 – 2:00 PM ET
  • Participants will receive a calendar invite sent to their email with registration instructions for each event.

  • Stepping Up to Conflict – Friday, January 26, 2024
  • Effective Influence – Friday, March 8, 2024
  • Learning Agility: Lessons of Experience – Friday, May 10, 2024
