Seeking Input on a Common Agenda to Strengthen and Elevate the Public Health Workforce

The National Consortium for Public Health Workforce Development, led by the de Beaumont Foundation and a diverse group of public health steering committee members including Donna Petersen (USF) and Rita Kelliher (ASPPH), created a draft agenda for the public health workforce. The Consortium is committed to creating lasting change in the public health system to advance the well-being of ALL communities, equitably and effectively – both now and in the future.

Over the past few months, the Steering Committee for the Consortium has created a draft agenda to guide collaborative action (a “common agenda”). To provide a concrete starting place, the Consortium will focus on state, Tribal, local, and territorial public health (also referred to as governmental public health). You can find more information about the Consortium’s work here.

The Consortium wants to know what you think. Please complete this survey to help shape the common agenda for the workforce. The survey will be open until April 30, 2021.

In addition to taking the survey yourself, the Consortium would also be grateful if you would share it with colleagues who work in governmental public health or whose work impacts the public health workforce’s ability to succeed.
