Dr. Keith Elder, chair of the Saint Louis University’s department of health management and policy, has been appointed to the Board of Health by Mayor Francis Slay. The Board of Health advises the director of the City of St. Louis Department of Health.

As part of this role, Dr. Elder will assist the Department of Health in the implementation of its Strategic Plan, Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) and in its preparation for an accreditation site visit.
