Rutgers School of Public Health professor, Dr. Clifford Weisel, has been appointed to the International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) – Health and Environmental Sciences Institute (HESI) Board of Trustees effective June 2017.

The International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to identify and resolve global health and environmental challenges through the engagement of scientists from academia, government, industry and other strategic partners. As part of ILSI, the Health and Environmental Sciences Institute (HESI), stimulates and supports scientific research and education with partners in academia and the private and government sector. The result of HESI programs is high quality, unbiased science that is published in peer-reviewed literature.
Dr. Weisel is a professor in the department of environmental and occupational health at the Rutgers School of Public Health and a member of the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute (EOHSI) at Rutgers University. During his nearly four-decade long career, Dr. Weisel has focused on studying multi-route exposures to environmental chemicals through direct measurement and biomarkers and how they impact health. He has authored numerous books and chapters on environmental health.
