What inspired you to study public health?

I’ve always had a heart for people and when I discovered this discipline, I felt that I could use the knowledge and tools from this field to make a greater impact on the communities around me.

What has been the single most rewarding experience of your career/studies so far?

The most rewarding experience is seeing how the work I’m doing is actually impacting lives and that individuals are disseminating this information to others.

What is the one piece of advice you wish someone had given you when you were starting out in public health?

I wish someone would have told me to look at all the different areas of public health. There are some fields you may not even know about and that could be where your true passion is.

What do you think is the biggest challenge that the public health field should be focusing on?

The biggest challenge public health should focus on is educating people on how to access and utilize all the resources that can benefit them.
