Nevada, Reno: Members Earn Funding to Evaluate “Molly of Denali” Rural Education Initiative

Dr. Elizabeth Christiansen, director of the Center for Program Evaluation and Ms. Kelly Morning, Senior Public Health Advisor for the School of Community Health Sciences received funding to evaluate the “Molly of Denali” Rural Education Initiative. “Molly of Denali” is the first nationally distributed children’s series in the United States that follows an Alaskan Native lead character and is aired on PBS Kids. The evaluation team will work with sites nationwide to analyze program education materials and the changes in caregiver and children’s attitudes toward the use of media-based resources.
