Johns Hopkins: New Episode of American Health Podcast: San Antonio Leaders Discuss CityHealth Initiative

A new episode of the American Health Podcast takes a look at how leaders there have implemented a set of policies designed to improve health as part of a national initiative called CityHealth. The American Health Podcast is created by the Bloomberg American Health Initiative, a project of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

The podcast features San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg and Health Commissioner Dr. Colleen Bridger discussing steps the city is taking to improve health, including how and why the city has embraced CityHealth, a national effort to advance evidence-based policies at the city level.

The Bloomberg American Health Initiative at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health works to tackle some of the most pressing challenges to public health in the United States: addiction and overdose, environmental challenges, obesity and the food system, risks to adolescent health and violence.
