Dr. Curry is interim executive vice president and provost of the University of Iowa, where she is also a distinguished professor of health management and policy in the College of Public Health. Her many professional activities include past service as dean of the University of Iowa College of Public Health from 2008 to 2017, vice chair of the board of directors of the Truth Initiative, and member of the National Cancer Institute’s board of scientific advisors. “I congratulate Dr. Curry on her appointment as chair of the Task Force,” said Dr. Grossman. “Her long history with the Task Force as a member and vice chair, profound understanding of the Task Force’s work, and commitment to evidence-based medicine have already contributed much to the Task Force. I look forward to seeing her strong leadership in this new role as chair.”
