The University of Iowa College of Public Health hosted students, alumni, faculty, and staff at the 2019 APHA Meeting and Expo in Philadelphia.
23 graduate students attended the conference and many participated in presentation and poster sessions, highlighting public health research and collaborations with faculty members and partners from around the country. Students also helped staff the college’s booth in the expo hall and chatted with many potential students and well as alumni and friends of the college.
College faculty presented on a wide array of topics, including e-cigarette use, health equity in mid-sized rural towns, and innovations in alcohol policy. Faculty also staffed the college’s booth, interacting with colleagues from around the world.
As always, a highlight of the conference was the annual reception for students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends, held this year at the Le Méridien Hotel.Friday Letter Submission, Publish on November 22
