Health Education & Behavior: Editor-in-Chief Search

Health Education & Behavior (HE&B) is the official bimonthly publication and flagship research journal of the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE). The journal publishes authoritative empirical research and commentary on critical health issues of interest to a broad range of professionals whose work involves understanding factors associated with health behavior and evidence-based social and behavioral strategies to improve health status. Now in its 43rd volume, HE&B is an essential resource for behavioral scientists, public health and community planners, social scientists, social workers, hospital administrators, nurses, physicians and others. Published by SAGE Publishing (Thousand Oaks, CA), the journal is disseminated online and in print to nearly 4,000 SOPHE members and more than 92 institutions, libraries, consortia and other organizations. Typical manuscripts published in the journal include empirical research using qualitative or quantitative methods; formative, process, and outcome evaluations; and literature reviews. In addition to Original and Review Articles and Brief Reports, other regular features include Perspectives, which offer commentary on complex topics, and Policy, Environmental, and Structural Approaches, a section that addresses the influence of such approaches on health status and health outcomes and explores solutions to relevant evaluation challenges. In Memoriam contains epitaphs dedicated to deceased SOPHE Past Presidents and Distinguished Fellows.
