Dr. Benjamin Sommers has been elected to the National Academy of Medicine (NAM). Sommers is a professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. The NAM noted Dr. Sommers’ health policy expertise on Medicaid and the health care safety net, and his research and policy advocacy that have influenced the implementation and debate on the future of the Affordable Care Act.
