Funding Opportunity from the Special Olympics

Special Olympics is pleased to announce that the 2020 Inclusive Health Innovation Grant application period is now open!

With support from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), these small grants — up to $25,000 per grant for a period of performance of up to 12 months — reflect our commitment to improving access to mainstream health services in the U.S. for people with intellectual disabilities.

The deadline to submit applications is November 1, 2019.

To apply, please visit the Center for Inclusive Health where you will find the Request for Applications (RFA) and related documents.

Eligibility: Applicants must be U.S.-based organizations eligible to receive federal funding in order to apply for this grant opportunity. This opportunity is intended for mainstream (non-disability) organizations that have national-level influence.

Have questions about your eligibility? See the RFA FAQ, and contact if you have questions about your eligibility  before beginning your application.

Feeling inspired? Learn more about the work past grantees have completed with Inclusive Health Innovation Grants on the Center for Inclusive Health website. Examples include educating health departments to identify opportunities to include people with intellectual disabilities (ID) in their programs, and evaluating how to make food choices at group homes healthier for residents.
