The 2022 ASPPH Sections Retreat is in-person  June 15-17 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA. Registration and hotel reservations are open.

The Sections Retreat is for designated representatives from ASPPH-member schools and programs of public health for Academic Affairs, Data, Diversity & Inclusion, Finance & Administration, Practice, Research, and Student Affairs. The primary purpose of the Sections Retreat is to provide these groups with an opportunity to share promising practices; increase knowledge; discuss current issues and challenges at schools and programs of public health; and network in an open environment with their peers. Participate at the event is limited to one representative per member per track. The deadline to register and make hotel reservations is Friday, May 27.

  • Registration Information

    Members: Participation is limited to one attendee per Section, per ASPPH-member institution. Section registrants must select a main track during registration (Academic Affairs, Data, Diversity & Inclusion, Finance & Administration, Practice, Research, and Student Affairs), but may also attend sessions hosted by other tracks at the retreat. Member registration fee is $575.

    Guests: Guests are welcome at all meals and events at the retreat which include: reception Wednesday evening, breakfast, lunch, and evening group activity on Thursday, and breakfast on Friday. Guest registration fee is $350. Guests 12 and under are complimentary.

    Meeting Cancellations/Refunds: Attendees may cancel their registration up until Friday, June 3, and receive a refund. Cancellations after June 3 will not be eligible for a refund.

  • Travel and Accommodations

    The Sections Retreat is at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, VA. The group discounted rate is $274 per night plus tax. Reservations can be booked online using the group link or by calling the hotel directly at 1 (800) 228-9290 or (703) 920-3230 and referencing the “2022 ASPPH Sections Retreat.”

    The reservation cut-off date is Friday, May 27 but we advise you to book as soon as possible to ensure availability at the group rate.

    Hotel Cancellations: All hotel cancellation requests must be received by the property at least 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid a fee equal to one night’s room and tax.

    The Crystal Gateway Marriott is five minutes from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).

    The hotel provides shuttle service from DCA. Note: the hotel shuttle services both the Crystal Gateway Marriott and the Crystal City Marriott, please be sure you get off at the correct hotel.
