CDC Seeks Public Health Professionals for Ebola Response in DRC

To assist us in controlling the current Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is in need of experienced French-speaking public health professionals with the following skillsets to deploy in Goma, DRC.  This includes identifying qualified non-governmental professionals that are available to deploy in the coming months.

  1. Epidemiologists
  2. Data managers
  3. Risk communicators
  4. Behavioral scientists
  5. Infection control specialists
  6. Health educators

For each of these positions, previous Ebola experience is preferred, and an intermediate to advanced level of French is required for DRC. Availability for at least one month is required; longer deployments are preferred.  There are several mechanisms through which CDC can deploy outside partners, which can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Interested and qualified individuals can contact CDC via email at: Please attach a resume, and in the text of the email provide your area of expertise and indicate your general availability.
