Thanks to the many ASPPH members who dedicated your time and energy to helping shape the ASPPH response to the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) in the four rounds of accreditation reviews over the last 18 months. Much appreciation goes to David Goff (Colorado), chair of the ASPPH Accreditation and Credentialing Committee, who led the review and commenting process over the last year for the association.
View ASPPH’s final round 4 response to CEPH, informed by your questions, ideas, and suggestions.
Staff read each comment submitted from March 2015 to date and tried to balance many interests in support of ASPPH’s overall objectives to promote excellence and drive innovation in research, teaching, and practice for public health, and to reflect these principles in our criteria recommendations.
We at ASPPH are as eager to see how CEPH responds as all of you!
For those who miss CEPH’s pending criteria rollout on October 30 in Denver (info here), you may mark your calendars for an ASPPH webinar to follow-up on rollout issues, set for Thursday November 17 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Eastern. Stay tuned for details and to register.
In addition, you may reference CEPH’s training timeline for other opportunities the Council is setting up over the coming year to inform schools and programs about the new criteria.
