On January 7, ASPPH participated in the PHPartners (Partners in Information Access for the Public Health Workforce) steering committee meeting, reporting on the results and next steps of a seminal Job Task Analysis for public health professionals performed by the National Board of Public Health Examiners (NBPHE) (if you would like to know more, you can access the archived ASPPH Presents Webinar: Job Task Analysis in Public Health: What are the Essential Tasks of Public Health Professionals?). ASPPH also shared information on activities in the undergraduate sector.
Partners in Information Access for the Public Health Workforce is a collaboration of U.S. government agencies, public health organizations, and health sciences libraries which provides timely, convenient access to selected public health resources on the Internet. A list of participating organizations can be found here. Much discussion about current public health workforce activities took place to identify opportunities for and to encourage collaboration between participating organizations. ASPPH thanks the National Library of Medicine for their leadership in this initiative.
